August is here, and fall is right around the corner. There’s still time to enjoy the summer heat for a few more weeks until temperatures start to cool. Still a chance to hop in the pool or dip your toes in the ocean. Or how about one more BBQ with family and friends to end the summer?
In the meantime, fall means back-to-school for many families. Time to gear up the kids with new school outfits and school supplies. The back-to-school-shopping lists seem to get longer every year, don’t they? And with rising prices everywhere you look, back-to-school supplies can cost a bundle. One way to cut costs is to take advantage of back-to-school sales. Some of you might even be preparing to send your child off to college for the first time. That’s another opportunity to look for bargains.
As for the approach of fall, it’s our favorite time of year: the crunch under your feet as you walk down a sidewalk covered in leaves, cheering on your favorite football team on the weekends, and Halloween decorations that get more and more spooktacular every year. Fall brings cooler temperatures and comfortable days; there’s nothing better than fall! (Until spring rolls around, and then spring becomes our new favorite time of year!)
